True F*cking Story




One cold December night in 2009 I started my detailing business, Eco Auto Solutions.

Back then, I introduced a new idea in LA: waterless car washes. I was one of the first guys in town.

My girlfriend happened to be a UX website developer, she had worked with companies like Disney, Warner Brothers, and Sony.

So, she hand-coded and developed a website for me. It took her 147 hours, and it set me back $11,000 which I paid off bit by bit like a responsible adult. 

Knock... Knock...


Once I launched my website, I invested $4,000 in fancy equipment


Now I believed I had all the pieces for success, ready to make some real money.​

But after 6 months of knocking on 1000s of doors offering free car washes, just crickets...

This sh*t was beyond frustrating. Every evening, I'd come home on the verge of tears, wondering what the hell was going wrong.

That's when I decided to dig deeper into the issue.


I realized that although my website was beautiful it focused only on myself

Therefore I needed to learn how to pitch my services to show value.

That's when I stumbled upon Oren Klaff, a f*cking legend, he's built multimillion-dollar companies.

So long story short I enrolled in his 3-day seminar which was $5,000, and learned how to pitch.

The changes in my website were pretty drastic:

Out of  100 visitors, I got 3 sales.                 


After:

Out of 100 visitors, I got 9 sales.

Average increase $3,000/month

Multiply that x12 month = $36,000


Face to Face


Now I knew how to pitch and was making some money 

But I noticed when it came to talking to customers face-to-face, whether at events or in my shop


I sucked at negotiating, my conversations were all about me, my products, and my fancy f*ucking tools.

When I used to go up to knock on the doors of Bodyshops, most owners would not even pay attention and the few that did weren't even interested in what I had to offer 

I knew this needed to change so I decided to look for the expertise of Chris Voss, the FBI negotiator, and enrolled in his $3,000 training, which made my business go up to a whole new level.

Before 9 out of 10, would politely tell me go get the f*ck outta here

After 7 out of 10 would be open to a partnership with me

If I could go back in time, pay someone $$$$$ ( name your price) to give me a turn-key business in a box, and save those 14 years of spinning my wheels, and lots of trial and error I’d consider it a good deal.
